Here is a guide with all the differents gems shapes

Round Brilliant (Oval, Pear, Navette, Heart, Trillion)
Shapes designed for maximum brilliance, expertly crafted with multiple facets to enhance light reflection, commonly chosen for diamonds and other transparent gemstones
Step Cuts (Emerald, Asscher)
Step-like facets highlight clarity and depth. These shapes are ideal for emeralds, Asschers, and other transparent stones.
Mixed Cuts (Radiant, Cushion)
Combination of brilliant facets (crown) and step facets (pavilion), blending sparkle and depth.
Cabochon
Smooth, domed surface without facets, perfect for showcasing the optical effects of opaque stones (e.g., opal, star sapphire).
Rose Cut and Old-Style Cuts (Old Miner's, Old European)
Antique cuts with triangular facets in a dome shape (rose cut) or with a small table and large facets (old mine, old European), highly valued for their vintage charm
Briolette
Elongated drop shape, fully faceted and often drilled to be used as a bead or pendant — very elegant and delicate
